ABOUT SAMANTHA VENTER

I’m an adventurous sort. I’ve lived in the UAE, where I worked in quality assurance for the largest printer in the Middle East. Before that, I worked as a finished artist here in Jhb, learning about great design, and about the nitty-gritty of pre-printing. After learning about the business side, I worked for an NGO, doing marketing, communications and business development, which has set me up for what I choose to do now.

Having garnered many valuable skills along the way, I know that the meticulous nature of finished art and quality assurance suit me, but these positions have also taught me to approach problems in a creative way. Working in communications and marketing, I managed to realise my dream of being creative for a living; and working while studying communications allowed me to understand both my studies and my job with greater clarity.
Learning as I go is something I excel at.

I hold a B.A. degree with a double major in Classical Studies and Communication Science (cum laude);
a 3-year qualification in Electronic Origination; have completed a project management short course
through the University of Cape Town; and am a qualified lead ISO auditor.
